What was the highlight of First Hotel
Ok for the price.
Excellent location, helpful staff. Near a metro stop. Room had two double beds, though advertised as twin beds so seemed like a bonus. Nice to have refrigerator in room. Small balcony a plus.
Internet was essentially nonfunctional. Twice saw bugs in room. Amenities like shampoo inadequate. Beds extremely hard.

Peaceful, quiet, comfortable.
Great. Not too many choices but sufficient.
Wifi initially was unstable. But it worked well later.

Pleasant
The location is excellent. Several buses stop right in the front and it's at the very center of Taipei. The room is spacious and equipped with lots of amenities, which is uncommon these days. In addition, the breakfast was included and it's difficult to find in such price range nowadays in Taipei.
The facilities are very outdated and really require some renovation. The breakfast was included in the price, but the quality was kind of poor. The goal of the breakfast they offered was simply to fill you up, so please don't give too high expectations there.
